Egg | Falzalpen circuit walk
A very beautiful circuit walk through the alpine pasture settlements of Schetteregg.
The route leads from the ski and hiking district of Schetteregg into the mountain pasture districts of Eggatsberg and Hammeratsberg, where one can see many traditional Bregenzerwald-style mountain pasture cabins. A little later, one arrives at the Alp Untere Falz, which offers a fine view of the mountains to the south, Bullerschkopf and Winterstaude. The trail leads up to the Alp Obere Falz, continues over the Alp Brongen and back to the starting point at Schetteregg. There is active farming in the alps from June through mid-September.
Directions
First of all, the hike takes you to the lovely alpine pasture settlements of Eggatsberg and Hammeratsberg with their numerous huts. Then, taking in the fantastic view of the Winterstaude, you advance to the lower and upper Falzalpe, which has its own alpine dairies. You return to Schetteregg via the Ochsenhofalpen and Brongenalpe.
