Sibratsgfäll | Sunset hike to the Renkknie

Directions

From the starting point of the tour, the "Sausteig" (Gasthaus Waldrast) in front of the town center of Sibratsgfäll, you reach the Renkknie after about 1 hour on a path with a steady incline. At the forest-free point you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view, especially of the long Balderschwangertal in the north. Then you hike along the ridge to the Hochriesalpe and on a supply road to the Hocheggalpe and the center of Sibratsgfäll. Via the Mähmoos you can get back to the Sausteig on a path that runs parallel to the main road.

Suggestions

If you like, you can enjoy a stop at the Hocheggalpe during the Alp season before heading to the Renkknie for sunset.
